Florida Pro Musica Chamber Ensemble: Sonatas & Cantatas

Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.

The FPM Chamber Ensemble, violinist Judson Griffin, cellist Javier Caballero, and harpsichordist Larry Kent  are  back  together  for  another  exciting  afternoon  of  17th and 18th century chamber music.   The  trio has worked  together  for  eight years,  and  is  joined  this  season by soprano Maggie Coleman, a Tampa Bay favorite who captivated the Sacred Heart audience in a solo recital last season. This season’s program will feature Sonatas & Cantatas by Vivaldi, Handel and others. The performance at  Sacred Heart Catholic Church will  be  on  Sunday,  February  13,  2011  at  4:00  p.m. Tickets  are  $15,  and  a reception with  the musicians  follows  in  the  Parish Hall. This  concert  is  presented  in  honor  of Early Music America’s 25th Anniversary of service to the field of early music.

Come and be charmed by the musicians’ virtuosity and the beautiful sounds of the Baroque. Period instruments, historically informed interpretations, and expert performers…a winning combination that is not to be missed!

The  60-minute  concert  is  at  4:00  p.m.,  followed  by  a  reception with  the musicians. Tickets  are  $15  general admission, and may be purchased at the door or online at http://www.FloridaProMusica.com.
