Guest Director – Ss. Francisco y Clara Schola Cantorum – Sunday, Nov. 14th

Ss. Francisco y Clara, the home of the Tridentine Latin Mass in Miami, is pleased to welcome Mr. Jonathan Ryan as guest director of the Schola Cantorum for Mass on Sunday, Nov. 14th. 

Jonathan Ryan is winner of the First Prize in the 2009 Jordan II International Organ Competition, one of the premier organ competitions of the world, and has also received awards in many other major competitions, including the 2004 Miami International Organ Competition. A native of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan first started playing the organ at age eight. He received a Bachelor of Music degree with academic honors from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music. He holds the Fellow certificate from the American Guild of Organists, as well as the Choirmaster certificate. Mr. Ryan has concertized throughout the United States and France including the Cathédrale St-André in Bordeaux, France, the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC, and the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland, CA. He has additionally been featured as a solo recitalist at the 2010 Organ Historical Society National Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as the summer Colloquium Conferences of the Church Music Association of America for the past three years.

A Missa Cantata in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite is celebrated every Sunday at the Mission Parish of Ss. Francisco y Clara in Miami (402 NE 29th St.) at 9:00 a.m.
