The University of Miami Frost Chorale, under the direction of Joshua Habermann, presents a spring concert, Eternal Light, featuring five centuries of sacred a cappella choral music, on April 19th at 4pm at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Coral Gables.  The concert will begin with Renaissance and Baroque works by Orlando Gibbons and Antonio Lotti, followed by double-choir music from Heinrich Schütz, Felix Mendelssohn and Frank Martin.  The program will include a 2001 composition by the rising Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, setting a mystic medieval Easter text.  The afternoon concludes with a sampling of American choral music and spirituals by Randall Thompson and Moses Hogan.
